Build a trading strategy from plain rules: entry, stop, target, risk, sessions, news. FxBacktest runs it over years of real history on forex, stocks, crypto, indices and metals, tests thousands of settings in one run, and shows which ones hold up on data they were never tuned on.
Everything happens in the No-Code dashboard in your browser. Nothing to install, nothing to compile, no language to learn first.
Pick a market, a timeframe and a period. Each entry condition is one row: a value, a comparison, another value. The short side mirrors the long side for you.
One click backtests it. Give any number a range and the optimizer tests every combination, ranks them, and applies the best row back to the form.
Read the out-of-sample result, then open the strategy on the replay chart and see every trade it took, entry to exit.
A no-code builder is only as good as what it lets you say. These are the pieces the form gives you, all running on the same engine as the chart.
SMA, EMA, WMA, Hull, RSI, Stochastic, CCI, Williams %R, MACD with signal and histogram, ADX with +DI / -DI, ATR, and Bollinger, Donchian and Keltner channels.
Crosses above, crosses below, is above, is below, is rising, is falling. Compare against price, another indicator or a fixed level. Join rows with AND or OR.
Read any value from M5 up to the weekly chart, so an H1 entry can follow the H4 trend. Values a few candles back are available too.
The high, low or middle of a daily time window you choose, like the first 15 minutes after 10:00 UTC. The level only exists once the window closes, so it cannot peek ahead.
Trade only in Sydney, Tokyo, London or New York hours, pick weekdays, cap trades per day, close at a set time, and sit out high, medium or low-impact releases.
Stop by ATR, pips or the last swing. Target by R, ATR or pips. Risk a percent or a fixed dollar amount, with break-even, trailing stop and partial close.
Every number in the form can be swept: indicator lengths, levels, stop, target, break-even, trailing distance, news window. Before you run, the dashboard shows how many combinations that makes and how many bars each one covers.
Drop an out-of-sample marker on the timeline and the optimizer ranks only on the bars before it. The report then shows the winner's result on the bars it never saw. If the edge survives there, it is worth more work. If it collapses, the optimizer found a quirk of the past.
The same instruments as the replay chart, on timeframes from M1 to D1, priced with each instrument's measured spread profile.
Describe the strategy in a sentence and the assistant fills in the form for you. Every rule it proposes is checked against what the form can do before it lands, so what you get is a form you can read and change, not a black box. One AI credit per message; building by hand never uses credits.
Prefer writing code? AI backtesting with FXScript covers the script editor.
Rule builders usually have a ceiling you only find by hitting it. Here every strategy compiles into FXScript, a readable strategy language. OPEN ON CHART runs it on the bar-by-bar replay chart with the best settings filled in and draws every trade, green for winners, red for losers. If the form cannot express something, edit the script and keep going. Measured on EUR/USD H1 with an EMA 20/50 cross over 2025, the dashboard and the chart both reported the same $2,053.

What traders ask before building their first strategy without code.
No code backtesting means testing a trading strategy on historical data without writing the strategy in a programming language. On FxBacktest you set the entry conditions, the stop, the target, the risk and any filters in a form, and the engine runs those rules over years of real price history and reports the result.
Yes, there is a free plan. It covers the latest 6 months of history, shows the net result of each run in dollars and percent, includes the optimizer and keeps 3 saved strategies. Pro extends history to 2 years and shows the full statistics, equity curve and trade list. Ultra opens the full history, up to 10 symbols per run and Edge Lab analytics.
Every number in the form, from an EMA length to the stop distance, can be given a range. The optimizer runs every combination and ranks them. If you set an out-of-sample split, it ranks on the in-sample part only and then shows how the best settings did on the part it never saw.
Yes. OPEN ON CHART turns the run into an FXScript strategy with the winning settings filled in, opens it on the replay chart over the same period and draws every trade from entry to exit. You can then edit the script line by line if the form could not express something.
The assistant that turns a plain-English description into form rules uses AI credits, one credit per message. Building the strategy yourself in the form, running backtests and using the optimizer do not use credits.
