What the volume is
- Forex has no central exchange: volume is Dukascopy tick and liquidity activity, not exchange volume.

What is a volume profile?
A sideways histogram of how much traded at each price. Its key levels are the point of control, the busiest price, and the value area, the band holding 70% of the activity.
What is the value area?
The range around the point of control that holds 70% of the activity, bounded by the value area high (VAH) and value area low (VAL).
Which volume profile should I use?
Daily or Session for intraday levels, Fixed Range for one move, Naked Points of Control for targets, and Market Profile for the day's shape.
Is forex volume profile accurate?
It measures quote activity, not exchange volume, because forex has no central exchange. On Ultra the daily and session profiles use real ticks. Treat the levels as a map.
