A great charting platform. A capped replay.
GoCharting is an order-flow and multi-asset charting platform with bar replay on the side — capped at 9,000 intraday bars on the free plan and 15,000 on Premium. FxBacktest is built only for backtesting: no bar cap, a saved report for every session, risk-based sizing, prop challenge rules and strategy scripting.
GOCHARTING REPLAY CAP 9,000 intraday bars free, 15,000 on Premium. On M1 that is about 6 to 10 days of a 24-hour market. 9K / 15K BARSvsNO CAPThese are different products. GoCharting is a live charting and trading platform; FxBacktest is a backtesting simulator. This compares them on backtesting only.
GoCharting details read from gocharting.com/us/pricing and its homepage on 20 October 2026. FxBacktest is not affiliated with GoCharting. Plans change — check their site before you pay.
GoCharting's replay is a chart feature. The backtesting layer around it — reports, sizing, sessions — is what FxBacktest is built for.
Replay a whole year of M5 or months of M1 in one session. GoCharting stops at 9,000 bars (15,000 on Premium).
ALL PLANSWin rate, expectancy, profit factor, Sharpe and drawdown, worked out from the trades you took in the replay and saved with the session.
ALL PLANSSet 1% risk, drag the stop, and the position size follows — so results compare across markets.
ALL PLANSOne to three phases, profit targets, and daily and maximum drawdown checked against live equity — the way a funded-account challenge actually fails you.
ALL PLANSBeyond win rate and drawdown: an RR optimization slider, wins by hour and weekday, MFE percentiles (how far trades ran), trade-tag analysis and stress tests that drop trades or skip news.
PRO / ULTRADescribe a rule in plain English and the built-in Claude assistant writes it in FXScript, then runs it over years of bars in seconds — with an optimizer for the inputs. See AI backtesting.
ALL PLANSFor the replay-and-practise part of GoCharting, these carry straight over.
Future candles hidden; step forward one bar or auto-play.
Every replay trade goes to a simulated account.
Lipi on GoCharting; FXScript, with an AI that writes it, here.
Forex, indices, crypto, stocks and commodities.
Multi-timeframe panes on Pro.
Both list one; FxBacktest marks the events on the replay candles.
Moving averages, RSI, Fibonacci, trendlines and the rest.
Chart templates saved to your account.
Works on a phone without an app.
An alternative page that hides the other side is an ad. These are the things GoCharting does that FxBacktest does not.
Footprint charts, DOM, Market Profile and cumulative volume delta. FxBacktest has none of these.
Real-time NASDAQ, NYSE and CME data on Premium and trading through 15+ connected brokers. FxBacktest is historical replay only.
Including CME futures, Indian NSE and MCX, and options tools with GEX. FxBacktest has 105 markets and no futures or options.
iOS and Android apps with over a million downloads. FxBacktest runs in the mobile browser.
If you need order flow or live trading, keep GoCharting for that — it is a different job. If your goal is to backtest a strategy and get a real statistical result, FxBacktest is built for it.
GoCharting list prices, 20 October 2026. It labels them "indicative", so check before you pay.
9,000 bars sounds like a lot until you scalp. A 24-hour market prints 1,440 one-minute bars a day, so 9,000 covers about six days and 15,000 about ten. On H1 the same caps reach well over a year.
Price for price, FxBacktest Pro (€12 a month, €129 a year) costs less than GoCharting Premium ($20 a month, $201.60 a year) and has no bar cap. What Premium buys instead is order flow and real-time data — tools for a different job.
Keep GoCharting for live charts and order flow. Do the backtesting here, with a saved report every time.
Email or Google, no card. Nothing to download and no broker to connect.
Pick from 105 markets, M1 to MN, and any start date. There is no cap on how many bars you replay.
Step a bar at a time or auto-play. Drag the stop and target on the chart; lot size follows your risk percent.
Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, Sharpe and drawdown, saved to your journal so the sample keeps growing.
