10,000 candles a week, reset every Friday.
CRTLAB is a clean browser replay tool with ICT overlays, 38 markets and every feature on its free plan — but the free plan meters replay at 10,000 candles a week. On one-minute charts that runs out in about a week of one market. FxBacktest has no candle meter, covers 105 markets and adds multi-timeframe replay, strategy scripting and real ticks.
WHAT 10,000 CANDLES BUYS On M1, a 24-hour market prints 1,440 candles a day — so CRTLAB's free week covers about 7 days of one pair. ≈ 7 DAYS OF M1vsNO METERBoth replay bar by bar from M1 to monthly with stops, targets and a journal. The gaps are the candle meter, market count and automation.
CRTLAB details read from crtlab.pro on 20 October 2026. FxBacktest is not affiliated with CRTLAB. Plans change — check their site before you pay.
CRTLAB keeps its feature set small and focused. Here is what sits outside it.
CRTLAB lists 38 markets. FxBacktest has 105, including more FX crosses, energy, ETFs, bonds and commodities beside the indices, metals, crypto and stocks both cover.
ALL PLANSTrade M15 while H1 and H4 replay beside it, every pane locked to the same moment — no peeking at a higher-timeframe candle that has not closed yet.
PROSet 1% risk, drag the stop, and the position size is worked out for you on every trade. CRTLAB links to a separate position-size calculator.
ALL PLANSDescribe a rule in plain English and the built-in Claude assistant writes it in FXScript, then runs it over years of bars in seconds — with an optimizer for the inputs. See AI backtesting.
ALL PLANSReplay inside the one-minute candle on gold, the majors, US100, US30, US500, GER40, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Apple, Nvidia and Tesla. See the tick data hub.
ULTRAEconomic-calendar markers sit on the candles they moved, so you can see NFP or CPI coming and test whether your setup survives it. See the calendar.
ALL PLANSIf you came to CRTLAB for liquidity sweeps and order blocks, the replay you trade them on is the same.
Future candles hidden; step forward one bar or auto-play.
Pick a market and a date; everything after it stays hidden.
Placed on the chart during the replay.
Every standard timeframe on both.
Run a session under challenge rules before you pay for one.
Results for every session, saved.
Both cover them, including NVDA, TSLA and AAPL.
Moving averages, RSI, Fibonacci, trendlines and the rest.
No installer, works on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
An alternative page that hides the other side is an ad. These are the things CRTLAB does that FxBacktest does not.
CRTLAB lets you replay without signing up. FxBacktest needs a free account first.
Fair value gaps, order blocks, liquidity sweeps and market structure have their own built-in tools. On FxBacktest you add indicators or script them.
Only candles are metered at CRTLAB; nothing else is paywalled. FxBacktest keeps multi-timeframe and extra indicators for Pro.
A desktop app alongside the browser, and CRT × Mitigation strategy content on Pro. FxBacktest is browser only; its course is general.
If you trade ICT concepts on a handful of markets and replay a few days a week, CRTLAB's free allowance may be all you need. If you replay one-minute charts for hours, or want more markets and automation, FxBacktest is the better fit.
CRTLAB meters the free plan by candles stepped; FxBacktest by features. List prices, 20 October 2026.
How far 10,000 candles go depends on the timeframe. A 24-hour market prints 1,440 one-minute candles a day, so the weekly allowance covers about seven days of M1 on one pair — or about 35 days of M5, and over a year of H1.
FxBacktest does not count candles. Pro at €12 a month is less than CRTLAB Unlimited and adds multi-timeframe replay; on yearly billing it is €129.
No allowance to watch. Replay as many one-minute candles as you want, any day of the week.
Email or Google, no card. Nothing to download and no broker to connect.
Pick from 105 markets, M1 to MN, and any start date. Gold, Nasdaq and the majors carry the deepest one-minute history.
Step a bar at a time or auto-play. Drag the stop and target on the chart; lot size follows your risk percent.
Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, Sharpe and drawdown, saved to your journal so the sample keeps growing.
Short answers. Every CRTLAB figure was read from their own pages on 20 October 2026.
Yes, with a meter: the free plan includes every feature and all 38 markets, but replay is capped at 10,000 candles a week, reset each Friday. Unlimited replay is $14.99 a month.
On one-minute charts of a 24-hour market, about seven days of price action for one symbol (1,440 candles a day). On M5 it is about 35 days; on H1, more than a year.
FxBacktest has no candle meter on any plan. It covers 105 markets with 13 timeframes and adds multi-timeframe replay on Pro at €12 a month.
Not as a dedicated ICT overlay set. You can add indicators, draw the levels yourself, or describe an ICT rule to the built-in assistant and have it written in FXScript.
No. A free account (email or Google, no card) is needed so your sessions and trades are saved. CRTLAB lets you start without one.
