Coverage as of October 2026 and growing nightly. The chart shows the US cash session, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time. Prices are not split-adjusted: bars before 31 August 2020 are quoted before Apple's 4-for-1 split.

2,445 AAPL daily bars, 1 February 2017 to 22 October 2026, FxBacktest archive. Because the archive is not split-adjusted, both columns are in percent of price and the split session of 31 August 2020 is left out of the gap count.
21% of Apple sessions since 2017 opened more than 1% away from the previous close, and 2.5% opened more than 3% away - after earnings, product events and macro news that land outside the cash session. A stop placed overnight can be filled well beyond its level, so test a rule that holds through the close separately from one that is flat by 16:00.
The widest session in the archive is 9 April 2025, the day US tariffs were paused: 16.67% from high to low. A backtest that skips 2020, 2022 and 2025 is describing a much calmer stock than the one you would trade.
10,171 AAPL hourly bars in the cash session, January 2021 to October 2026, converted to New York time. The first bar covers only the 30 minutes after the 9:30 open and still has the widest median range of the day, more than twice the early afternoon.

Apple is one of the largest weights in the Nasdaq 100. Backtesting US100 on the same dates shows how much of a trade was the stock and how much was the market.

Open the simulator and pick AAPL from the instrument list - or NVDA, TSLA, MSFT, AMZN and the rest of the 105.
Choose a start date and timeframe. The chart hides everything after it, so you read the same bars a trader had at the time rather than a chart you already know the answer to.
Replay bar by bar through the cash session and place trades with the mouse. The position size follows from your risk percent and stop distance.
Read the report. Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, Sharpe and drawdown across the session, saved to your trading journal so the sample accumulates.
Apple backtesting FAQ
Is Apple backtesting really free here? +
Yes. AAPL and all 105 instruments are unlocked on the free plan, with every timeframe, full trade execution and the session report. Nothing to download, no card. Paid plans add more saved sessions, more simultaneous indicators, deep minute history and tick data - not the Apple chart itself.
How much Apple history can I replay? +
Daily, 4-hour, hourly, 30-minute and 15-minute bars go back to February 2017. The free plan keeps the most recent 9 months of 5-minute bars and 6 months of 1-minute bars; on Ultra both reach back to 2017.
Does the Apple chart include the 2020 stock split? +
The prices are not split-adjusted. Bars before 31 August 2020 show the pre-split price, about four times higher, so compare years in percent of price rather than in dollars.
When does Apple trade on the chart? +
During the US cash session, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time, Monday to Friday. The first half hour has the widest median range of the day - $1.96 against $0.91 for 14:00-15:00, measured from 2021 to 2026.
